Privacy Policy for "Mumon (ミューモン)"
MUSIC MONSTER Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws, regulations, and guidelines (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Applicable Laws”) and appropriately manages and uses personal information as described below. This Privacy Policy shall apply together with the individual privacy policies, terms of use, and guidelines of each service (collectively, the “Service Policies”), and in the event of any conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Service Policies, the Service Policies shall take precedence.
Acquisition of Personal Information
The Company will acquire personal information through appropriate and lawful means within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use that have been notified or publicly announced in advance.
Cookies, Advertising Identifiers, and IP Address Information
Cookies, advertising identifiers (including but not limited to Identifier for Advertisers/IDFA and Google Advertising ID/AAID), and IP address information (collectively referred to as “Cookies, etc.”) do not, by themselves, identify specific individuals. However, when such information is used in conjunction with personal information, it will be treated as personal information. Even if individual identification is not possible, the Company will disclose the purposes and methods of using Cookies, etc. on its services. You can also disable cookies and advertising identifiers via your browser or OS settings. If doing so results in an inability to use certain services, this will also be disclosed.
Specification of the Purpose of Use
When handling personal information, the Company will specify the purpose of use as much as possible and notify or publicly announce such purposes in a clear and understandable manner to the individual to whom the information pertains (hereinafter referred to as “the Individual”).
Restrictions on Use of Personal Information
The Company will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use without the prior consent of the Individual. Even if personal information is obtained due to a merger or other reason, it will not be used beyond the scope of the purposes prior to succession without prior consent. However, exceptions are made in the following cases:
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and obtaining consent is difficult
- When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound upbringing of children and obtaining consent is difficult
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a government agency or local government, or an entity commissioned by such, in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent may hinder the performance of those duties
Proper Acquisition of Personal Information
The Company will acquire personal information in an appropriate manner and will not obtain it through deception or other wrongful means. Additionally, the Company takes care not to collect personal information from children under the age of 15 without the consent of a legal guardian (e.g., parent).
Notification of Purpose of Use upon Acquisition
When acquiring personal information, the Company will announce its intended purpose of use in advance. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
- When notifying or disclosing the purpose may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the Individual or a third party
- When it may harm the Company’s rights or legitimate interests
- When cooperation is needed with a national or local government agency to perform legally mandated duties and notifying the Individual may interfere with the performance of such duties
- When the purpose of use is clear from the circumstances of the acquisition
Changes to the Purpose of Use
When changing the purpose of use of personal information, the Company will do so only within a range reasonably considered to be related to the original purpose, and will notify or publicly announce the new purpose of use to the Individual.
Security Management and Supervision of Employees
The Company will establish personal information protection regulations and appropriately supervise employees to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and ensure proper security management.
Supervision of Contractors
When outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information, the Company will enter into confidentiality agreements (including clauses for the protection of personal information) or require agreement to Company-specified terms, and supervise the contractor to ensure proper management of personal information.
Restrictions on Third-Party Provision
The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the Individual, except in the following cases:
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and obtaining consent is difficult
- When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound upbringing of children and obtaining consent is difficult
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a government agency or local government, or an entity commissioned by such, in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent may hinder the performance of those duties
Disclosure of Personal Information
When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information, the Company will promptly disclose it to the individual. However, all or part of the information may not be disclosed if any of the following apply, and in such cases, the Company will promptly notify the individual of the decision not to disclose:
- When disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
- When disclosure may significantly interfere with the proper conduct of the Company’s operations
- When disclosure would violate other laws or regulations
Correction of Personal Information
If the Individual requests correction, addition, or deletion of their personal information on the grounds that it is inaccurate (hereinafter, “Correction”), and unless otherwise specified by law, the Company will promptly investigate within the scope necessary for the purpose of use and, based on the results, make the appropriate Correction and notify the Individual.
Suspension of Use of Personal Information
If the Individual requests suspension or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter, “Suspension of Use”) on the grounds that it is being used beyond the announced purpose or was obtained through improper means, the Company will promptly investigate and, based on the results, take appropriate action and notify the Individual. However, if the Suspension of Use involves excessive cost or is otherwise difficult to implement, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the Individual’s rights and interests, the Company will implement such alternatives.
Explanation of Reasons
If the Company decides, despite a request from the individual, to (1) not notify the purpose of use, (2) not disclose all or part of the personal information, (3) not suspend the use or delete the personal information, or (4) not cease providing the personal information to third parties, the Company will make every effort to explain the reason for such decision when notifying the individual.
