Information on Security Deposits Related to Prepaid Payment Instruments
- In accordance with the Payment Services Act, when the total unused balance of coins (limited to those issued for a fee, hereinafter the same) and other prepaid payment instruments exceeds 10 million yen on the reference date, the Company will deposit a security reserve equivalent to at least half of the unused balance at the nearest legal affairs bureau to the Company’s principal place of business. The Company will also enter into a security reserve agreement with a qualified party as specified by Cabinet Order, under which the security deposit shall be made in accordance with the instructions of the Prime Minister to protect the interests of holders of prepaid payment instruments.
- Holders of prepaid payment instruments have the right to receive payment from the above security deposit (security reserve) before other creditors.
Compensation Policy
- The Company shall not be held responsible for damages caused by unauthorized use of prepaid payment instruments by third parties unless such damages are attributable to the Company. However, if the Company determines that there are special circumstances, it may provide compensation at its own discretion.
